Spiral Water wins Technology Idol at prestigious Global Water Awards
Self-cleaning filter “could change the future of the water market”

Spiral Water Technologies was honored at the recent Global Water Awards in Athens, where the company won the 2015 Technology Idol, awarded to the early-stage company whose technology could change the future of the water market.

Spiral Water CEO Ashwin Gulati received the award from former President of the European Commission and Prime Minister of Portugal Jose Manuel Barroso, after Gulati presented the company’s automatic self-cleaning filter technology to the audience attending the prestigious Global Water Summit. Gulati explained how the patented Spiral Water Filter is capable of filtering up to 100 times dirtier water while using only 10% of the energy and a fraction of the footprint and weight. Panelists questioned each presenter before the audience voted on the technology most likely to live up to the presenter’s expectations.

Spiral Water Technologies, Inc. was founded in response to the growing global need for more efficient and affordable water filtration solutions. Specializing in “difficult to treat waters” the Spiral Water® Automatic Self-Cleaning Filter was specifically designed to address the issue of suspended solids filtration. This ground-breaking technology delivers unrivaled performance across multiple industries in some of today’s most demanding applications.
